About The White Hotel

The White Hotel sits in Salford, just over the river from central Manchester, in a converted MOT garage on Dickinson Street. The independent arts and music venue and nightclub was founded in 2015 in an industrial unit that was previously a vehicle repair garage, located in the shadow of HMP Manchester. It's since become one of the city's best-known spots for underground electronic music, with a stripped-back aesthetic, serious sound and late-night programming that draw boundary-pushing live music, club nights, performance art and one-off residencies, alongside cutting-edge electronic sets, rap and experimental bills.

The room is an industrial garage with a concrete dance floor and thick smoke, and it holds a capacity of around 300. Past bills have included Andrew Weatherall, Helena Hauff, Djrum, DJ Stingray, Jamie xx, SHERELLE, Traxman, Objekt, and Space Afrika, giving a sense of the range on offer, from heavier techno to more leftfield electronic and live sets.

Worth noting if you're planning ahead: the venue is closing down at the beginning of 2027, so its run of indie, house, electro and techno nights on Dickinson Street won't go on indefinitely. Upcoming dates span live acts like Ulrika Spacek and Gold Panda alongside club nights from Pixel Grip and Desire & Johnny Jewel, reflecting that same mix of gig and dancefloor programming the venue has built its name on.
