It should come as no surprise that rock legend and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is worth $500 million. After all, he’s been making music since the 60s, selling over 200 million albums and God knows how many millions of tickets over the years. In fact, Mick Jagger was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame over 30 years ago, and is still out there going on tour and selling out stadiums.
And so obviously, the man is filthy rich. Apparently though, his 37-year-old girlfriend Melanie Hamrick missed the memo on that one when she first met and fell in love with him.
Jagger has been with former ballerina Melanie Hamrick since 2014, when she was 27 and he was 70. The couple have one child together, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger, who was born in 2016.
AXS recently tweeted a quote from Hamrick about how she had no idea Mick Jagger was worth $500 million when she met him – which might be true of course, but she had to know he was loaded:

Unsurprisingly, the internet isn’t quite convinced, with comments including:
“What was your first clue? That he was MICK JAGGER?“
“In her defense, she could have thought he only had $300-400 million. And she dated him anyway. That’s true love.“
“She might have been surprised about the whole amount but not that he was filthy rich. She is an unabashed gold digger.“
“So all I need to get me a 37-year-old girlfriend is $500 million. Let me check my bank account first. I should be close. All I need is $499.9 million dollars“
“I declare shenanigans! But alas, now she can get a nicer rock, you know, the one that she has been apparently living under.“
Jeez, what a bunch of haters! As long as Mick Jagger and his 37-year-old girlfriend are both happy, then who cares? More power to them, I say.
From the looks of their pictures together they actually do look happy and in love. Apparently Mick Jagger runs 9 miles every day and everyone who goes to his concerts says he’s still up there dancing and jumping around like a 20-year-old. So clearly he’s doing something right. Go Mick Go!
