Man Who Wears Skirts And High Heels Slams LGBT Community For Everyone Thinking He’s Gay

A straight, married, father-of-three who thought he was shattering gender norms by wearing skirts and high heels every day has been shocked to find that everyone thinks he’s gay, and blames the LGBT community for that being the case.

Mark Bryan, a 62-year-old American robotic engineer who lives in Germany, is just like any other bloke from Texas, except he wears sky-high stilettos and pencil skirts at work, home and around town. That’s not gay, is it? I’d probably wear stilettos too if my calves looked like this tbf:

In a new clip from the German series Beyond Fashion, Bryan is interviewed by Queer Eye: Germany’s Avi Jakobs, who is stunned when Bryan tells him:

“I try to separate myself from the LGB community because of the gay community that wore skirts and high heels before I did. I feel like actually they made it worse for me, being straight, because now I’m assumed to be gay.”

When Jakobs tells Bryan she was excited to meet him because she assumed he was fighting alongside the queer community, he responds:

“I don’t really think that I’m fighting with you, but I’m not fighting against you, either.

I think [the LGBT community] made it made difficult for themselves just being more flamboyant. I think they’re too outrageous and too flamboyant.”

Since his comments were aired, Bryan has faced a fair bit of criticism, which, from the looks of things, he’s not bothered about whatsoever:

I guess the issue is that the only reason Bryan has been able to ‘get away’ with being a grown man wearing skirts and stilettos in public is because the LGBT community made it acceptable, and now he’s sort of throwing them under the bus by claiming they actually make his life more difficult because everyone assumes he’s gay.

Speaking to Bored Panda, Mark explained:

“I dress like this because I can. Just to be different. I have always admired the women that wore tight skirts and heels.

Not sexually, but the power they presented. I don’t dress to be sexual, but to dress like any professional woman would.

To me, clothes have no gender. I prefer skirts to dresses. Dresses don’t allow me to mix the genders. I prefer a ‘masculine’ look above the waist and a non-gendered look below the waist. It’s all about clothes having no gender.”

Just don’t call him gay to his face – one roundhouse kick with those stilettos is taking your head clean off. Dude looks like a hitman who strangles people to death using his legs!
