4am Kru

4am Kru are a London production duo who've been turning heads in the UK jungle scene since emerging in the post-lockdown period. Formed by producers Howie and Stu after years spent in London's band and live music circuits, the pair started out spinning old rave records in their Tottenham studio before building this into a full live project rooted in a shared love of jungle's original spirit.

Their sound is built on 1994-flavoured jungle, high-energy breakbeats and deep subs, but they pull in surprising influences too, from slow jam R&B to Scottish folk and classical touches, giving their tracks an unusually rich feel for the genre. They release through their own label, Embrace The Real Records, with a catalogue that includes the Incognito Rhythm album, singles like Mr. Wolf and Bristol Girls, and collaborations with vocalists and producers including Layla Sibelle, Phoebe White, Salo and Guido YZ. They've also picked up praise as part of a new generation carrying jungle forward alongside names like Nia Archives and Tim Reaper.

Live is where 4am Kru make their name. Rather than a standard DJ set, their shows are built around a raucous, full-band energy that reworks jungle and breakbeat classics alongside their own material, with sets described as fast, unpredictable and soaked in old-school rave spirit. They've built a strong following at clubs and sound system nights, including repeat visits to Bristol's jungle and bass scene, and their live tour schedule has kept expanding as their reputation has grown.
