Gok Wan
Gok Wan is best known as a fashion stylist and television presenter, but over the past few years he's built a genuine second career behind the decks. During lockdown in 2020, he created Isolation Nation, a live DJ set streamed from his kitchen to Facebook, which took place most weekends. What started as that kitchen session has grown into a movement with sold-out venues nationwide, released as Isolation Nation Records.
His sound sits across disco, house and old skool, built for big, friendly dancefloors rather than deep late-night sets. He's become a firm favourite with house and disco fans at clubs and festivals across the UK and Europe, bringing an uplifting funky vocal house set to packed-out dancefloors. That approach carries through to his recorded mixes too: his Isolation Nation compilations run through disco-house staples and newer club cuts alike, from Kings Of Tomorrow and King Unique through Mighty Mouse, Seamus Haji, Shakedown and John Summit, giving a good sense of the warm, feel-good territory he plays in.
Expect a set that's about singalong energy and nostalgia as much as mixing technique. He's known for his infectious energy behind the decks and his commitment to inclusive, joyful dancefloors, delivering uplifting disco, soulful house and feel-good party anthems. These Isolation Nation dates follow a run of well-attended shows around the UK, and give fans the chance to hear that kitchen party turned full club night played out live.
