Kyle Starkey
Kyle Starkey is a DJ and producer from Ellesmere Port in North West England, specialising in high-energy hard house, progressive house, and throwback trance. His early releases had more of a rolling tech-house sound, including his contribution to the 'Bassline Groovers' releases on Seven Dials, before he became obsessed with speed garage and gravitated towards 90s-inspired hard house and trance. He came across a mix recorded at Trade, the UK's first legal after-hours party which launched in 1990, and found his calling there.
His production style blends nostalgic 90s rave aesthetics with a modern, fast-paced bounce, and he has landed releases on labels such as Southern Fried Records and bebé recordings. He's also put out music on Shall Not Fade and System Records, and linked up with Irish producer Dart for collaborative singles. Live, expect a mix of rare 90s cuts from across the House music spectrum, blended with his own modern take on that golden era. His sets feature frequently at major European events including DGTL, Soenda, and Terminal V.
He heads to the UK this autumn for a run of dates including Airspace at Mint Warehouse in Leeds, Nightvision shows in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow's Sub Club, and XXL at Depot Mayfield in Manchester. Expect a huge night of high-energy club music, blending 90s-inspired hard house, progressive house and trance, combining rare cuts with modern productions for a sound built for the dancefloor.
