Pigeon
Pigeon are a British five-piece from Margate, making a name for themselves with a sound that mixes post-punk energy with Afro-disco grooves. British band Pigeon will join the U.K. leg of the tour as special guests, bringing its distinctive blend of post-punk and Afro-disco influences to the arena run. That pairing of guitar-driven urgency and dancefloor rhythm has made them a popular addition to bigger stages, and they've been described as a psychedelic five-piece rooted in the English seaside town of Margate.
This autumn sees them step into some of the UK's biggest rooms, joining Duran Duran for the full run of UK arena dates. Pigeon will be joining the group as the support act for all of their UK shows, except London, taking in Glasgow's OVO Hydro, Belfast, Birmingham and Leeds. It's a notable showcase slot alongside one of Britain's longest-running pop acts, and a chance for the band to bring their energetic, groove-led sound to arena-sized crowds who might not know them yet.
Pigeon also link up with Yard Act for their Southampton date at the O2 Guildhall in November, slotting in well alongside Yard Act's own sharp, danceable take on post-punk. Expect a lively, rhythm-forward set built for connecting quickly with a room, whether that's a sold-out arena crowd or a more intimate theatre show.
