Electric Brixton
About Electric Brixton
Electric Brixton sits on Town Hall Parade, right by Brixton tube and train stations, and it's one of the area's main clubbing and live music spaces. The venue opened in September 2011, bringing back to life the building previously known as The Fridge and before that, The Ace. Across both floors it has a capacity of 1,700 for club events and 1,500 for live shows.
The booking policy here is broad, covering commercial, electro, hip-hop, house, indie, pop, rock and techno, so the crowd changes a lot from night to night. That range shows in the upcoming schedule, which swings from indie band Lime Garden and a reggaeton Halloween party to rock gig Band of Skulls, Finnish star KÄÄRIJÄ, underscores, and garage mainstay DJ EZ across two consecutive nights, plus a techno-leaning headline set from Eli Brown.
With its own stage and sightlines built for bigger shows, Electric Brixton works equally well for a full-on club night or a touring live act, and its central Brixton location keeps it an easy add-on to a night out in the area alongside the borough's other long-running venues.
