Troxy
About Troxy
Troxy sits on Commercial Road in Stepney, east London, inside a Grade II-listed Art Deco building. Built as a cinema in 1933, it closed in 1960, became a training school for the London Opera Centre, and was later used as a bingo hall before being converted into a live events space in 2006. That history is still visible in the fixed tiered circle seating and decorative period detailing, which sit alongside modern production and sound for club-style events.
With a standing capacity of 3,100 that is to be extended in 2026 to 3,600, Troxy can handle big-room nights without losing the character of a converted cinema. The upcoming calendar reflects that range, from Afrobeats-leaning bills to electronic and trance line-ups such as Trance Sanctuary, alongside gigs, themed parties and one-off club takeovers.
It's a flexible space used for everything from large-scale raves to seated concerts and live music, so expect the layout and vibe to shift depending on the promoter. Limehouse station is close by, making it an easy one to reach for a late one in east London.
