INTRODUCTION
One face of Coldharbour is the Arkham Knights duo, formed by Stuart & Ben Turner from Leeds 🏴. Their Techno-influenced Trance signature has been embraced by the likes of Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren, Judge Jules, Sander van Doorn, & Ferry Corsten. And rightfully so, they always pull off something special, energetic, and engaging. Our favorites include remixes like the notorious ones for Armin’s Communication & This Is A Test, as well as originals like Medusa, Into The Fire, Odyssey, & Awakening.
They went on hiatus after the release of Lost In Space last year, but they launched their radioshow, “We Are AK”, in August 2021. This year, we recapped their return with Markus, “Vanderbilt”, and now they made another surprising return on ASOT.
They CAPTURED us with this new ID road tested by Markus Schulz, and premiered by Armin and Reinier Zonneveld at Ultra.
PRODUCTION
The dark groove and the brilliant buildup are there, as expected from the duo. This time, however, they made it even more atmospheric. The captivating arrangement revolves around a hypnotic synth. But they also used driving drums and lasers to keep us on our toes, then sirens to introduce the climax.
Tech kicks and synths make their entry for the climax. They join the initial setup for more power and punch; a perfect example of the duo’s signature. And with the entrancing quality still there, any kind of crowd will be seduced. No wonder it premiered that way at Ultra!
CONCLUSION
Arkham Knights have shown again why they enjoy such support from legends of the scene. Their formula never disappoints, and they are constantly surprising us in different ways.
