Warehouse Project
The Warehouse Project has been running in Manchester since 2006, moving through venues including Store Street, Victoria Warehouse, and the former Boddingtons Brewery before settling at Depot Mayfield in 2019. It's a series of club nights organised in Greater Manchester since 2006, with a limited seasonal approach running from September through to New Year's Day, plus occasional one-off dates. It was started as a joint venture by Sacha Lord and Sam Kandel, who both had previous involvement with the Sankeys nightclub in Manchester, beginning operations in the disused Boddingtons Brewery before moving into the former air raid shelter on Store Street beneath Manchester Piccadilly station.
Depot Mayfield itself is a repurposed railway depot and former Royal Mail sorting office near Piccadilly station, with a raw industrial feel of exposed brick and iron framework. Past seasons have brought the likes of Bicep, Four Tet, Leftfield, Peggy Gou, Yung Singh and Honey Dijon through, alongside a rotating cast of resident DJs including I. JORDAN, Interplanetary Criminal, Effy and Aletha. Names such as Aphex Twin, Four Tet, Disclosure, Bicep and Fred Again.. have all played a part in shaping its line-ups over the years.
This run brings a typically broad mix to the Manchester site, from Interplanetary Criminal and Hannah Laing through to Eric Prydz, Duke Dumont, Overmono and a show from The Streets, spanning house, techno, electro and beyond across the venue's Depot, Archive and Concourse rooms.
