Daxson – Ethereal

Daxson – Ethereal

RATING: (17.3/20)
Energy: 8.1/10
Emotion: 9.2/10

INTRODUCTION:
It’s here! Our 1st review from ‘In Search Of Sunrise 17’ and also for Coldharbour roster artist Daxson 🇬🇧. The rising talent, dubbed ‘genius’ by boss Markus Schulz, has been closely working with Dan Thompson, Solis, Sean Truby, & Harry Square. His portfolio includes originals such as Skygarden, Bexley Square, & Sonder. Other than that, he remixed Marcel Woods, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, Fisherman & Hawkins, Gareth Emery & Ashley Wallbridge, Nifra and Craig Connelly, etc. This is his 3rd time on the ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ series, and Ethereal is the 2nd single from his upcoming album!

PRODUCTION:
Heavy kicks & claps commence this Ethereal journey, backed with his notorious hi-hats & loops. The intro transcends with a punchy bassline & bright plucks establishing an enlightening atmosphere, and then a classic arp evoking a nice semi-uplifting vibe; overall a brilliantly executed 1st climax. What really makes this track a highlight is this mesmerizing breakdown starring angelic voice pads, high-reverb piano, cinematic FXs, and a charming melody. The latter is there briefly as the leads & build-up rush by. To strike a balance & keep the title’s spirit intact, highlight elements from the breakdown are combined with supersaws & plucks in the 2nd climax! It’s remarkable how he alters between trance plucks & piano notes during this main climax.

CONCLUSION:
This final result is overwhelming, it’s worth the 2 years of work! The story-telling & polyphonic melodies are very immersive. Lastly, the artworks and projects he is teasing at the moment are very interesting… 👀
